We have an abundance of amazing fireworks shows around the Triangle! VisitRaleigh has a fantastic (and comprehensive) round-up here so be sure to check it out!
A few of our favorites:
Garner’s Independence Day Celebration: Enjoy two nights of fireworks with this event on Tuesday, July 3rd! The fun starts at 5:00 PM at the beautiful Lake Benson Park with lots of family-fun activities!
Knightdale’s July 4th Celebration: Arrive early to enjoy some amazing bites from a wide selection of food trucks, then settle into a spot at the spacious park to watch fireworks!
Where you’ll probably find us this year:
Deep River Brewing’s 4th of July Celebration: Located right beside Municipal Park where the town of Clayton sets off their fireworks, Deep River offers a great view of fireworks in addition to food trucks, live music, and, of course, plenty of great beer!
The Independence Day Celebration at the State Capitol: This family-friendly event is the perfect way to celebrate, with music, carriage rides, cold treats, and more!
If you’d rather not grill out:
The Roast Grill: If you’re looking for a hotdog, or ten (who are we to judge?), head to this Raleigh landmark for a perfect grilled dog in an old school setting. Heads up: don’t ask for ketchup.
MoJoe’s Burger Joint: If a burger is more your speed, head to MoJoe’s where they have an endless variety of burger and sandwich options. Do not skip the onion rings.
Keeping it cool (indoor fun):
Jaws at the Alamo Drafthouse: Escape the sun and watch this summer classic -with multiple July 4th screenings- at this new theater in Raleigh featuring great food and cocktails! If you’re looking for even more to watch, check out their VHS rentals.
The North Carolina Roots of Artist Ernie Barnes: Newly opened, this exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of History features unpublished and original paintings from this Durham native.
