Smithfield Downtown Wine Walk

The Scoop: The Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation will host its sixth annual Downtown Smithfield Wine Walk, a wine tasting to raise money for Harbor and its programs. Taste wines from over twenty local businesses and support Harbor, Johnston County's only nonprofit agency providing assistance to victims of domestic violence.

When: Friday, November 19th, 5-9 PM.

Where: Various downtown Smithfield locations. The walk begins at Harbor Shelter’s Pizazz, located at 119 North Third Street in Downtown Smithfield.

The Deets: Tickets are $20 and can be purchased the day of at Harbor Shelter’s Pizazz. 21 and older. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.


The Christmas Market

The Scoop: Enjoy over 70 vendors and door prizes at The Christmas Market at Johnston Community College.

When: Saturday, November 19th, 9 AM - 2 PM.

Raleigh Christmas Parade

The Scoop: The 2016 WRAL Raleigh Christmas Parade will be held this Saturday. It is the largest Christmas Parade between Washington, DC and Atlanta.

When: Saturday, November 19th starting at 9:40 AM.

Where: The parade starts on Hillsborough Street and moves down Fayetteville Street. See a map of the parade route here.

The Deets: The parade is open to the public and is approximately 2.5 hours. It will also be broadcast on WRAL. For more information, visit the event website.


Pop Up Raleigh

The Scoop: PopUp Raleigh is touted as Raleigh's favorite vintage market!. With booths outside and inside, it's a cornucopia of fun vintage and handmade artisanal treats. Enjoy some shopping and yummy craft beers that Trophy has on tap!

When: Saturday, November 19th, 12-5 PM.

Girl Up Fundraiser

The Scoop: Do you like to sing? Come out to our karaoke night and help support a wonderful cause for the Girls up Club from Garner Magnet School. Girl Up ignites the empowerment of girls, by girls around the world. In partnership with the United Nations, we stand up for girls, speak up for programs that help them thrive, and rise up as a community of advocates out to change the world, for good.

When: Saturday, November 19th, 7:30 - 9:30 PM.

Save The Climate with Ice Cream and Beer

The Scoop: New Belgium is throwing a party in DTR to help save our climate by partnering with friends Busy Bee, Trophy Brewing and Ben & Jerry's for a night of do-gooding full of sips and snacks.
