The Ham & Yam Festival

The Scoop: Join us for the 33rd annual Ham & Yam Festival presented by Agri Supply and Stevens Sausage Co. on Saturday, May 6 in Downtown Smithfield! With pig races, inflatables, vendors, entertainment, and ham and yam foods, it's a fun day for the entire family! Don't forget to visit REMAX One Realty and Movement Mortgage for great information, swag, and a chance to win a YETI cooler! We will be close to SoDoSoPa downtown!

Open Barn Day

The Scoop: Now is your chance to meet the Farmers and Vendors of Ninja Cow Farm. There will be cows and baby goats to feed and pet, tours, samples to taste, as well as a chance to meet many of the farmers and vendors in the Ninja Cow store. Ninja Cow Farm LLC is a small, 84 acre family farm located just outside of Garner. We are the closest large animal farm to downtown Raleigh, just 15 minutes from the heart of downtown.

Adventure Hunt Raleigh

The Scoop: What is Adventure Hunt? Adventure Hunt is a fun and adventurous modern day treasure hunt to win GoPros, loads of adventure gear and a free trip to Panama for two! You'll be adventuring all over Raleigh and the surrounding area completing epic challenges to earn clues that will lead you and your teammate to buried treasure!

Skywatching in Dorothea Dix Park

The Scoop: Join Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, Chapel Hill Astronomical and Observational Society (CHAOS) and Raleigh Astronomy Club (RAC) at the park.

Midtown Bluegrass Series

The Scoop: Kick off the Midtown Bluegrass season with veteran bluegrass band The Boxcars and rising stars ShadowGrass! You won't want to miss this exciting pairing of musicians, where you can see for yourself how bluegrass continues to inspire future generations to play music. The afternoon will begin with a facilitated youth jam with local musicians Lynda and Jamie Dawson.
