Outdoor Movie: Arrival at NCMA
The Scoop: Each year when summer draws near, thousands flock to the NCMA lawn to grab a seat, soak in the setting sun and enjoy one of the best outdoor movie series in the state. From June until September, you'll find a variety of well curated flicks featuring recent Oscar winners, family favorites, and timeless classics. Though the crowds get large, the lawn itself provides an intimate vibe, and with a sizable projections screen for viewing, it's easy to get a seat toward the back.
When: Saturday, June 10th with the film beginning around 9pm.

The Deets: Coolers and picnics are welcome, though alcoholic beverages must be purchased from the vendors onsite. NCMA suggests coming early to avoid the crowds, and to get a good seat. Movies are $6 (free for NCMA members) and begin just after dark at 9p. Gates open 90 minutes before showtime and tickets can be purchased at the gate or online. Downtown Cary Food & Flea
The Scoop: The Downtown Cary Food & Flea is opening its streets once a month to members of the community to shop, walk and support local artists and crafters. You'll find a variety of things to do at this market, whether that's imbibing a new local craft beer, nomming dishes from one of your favorite food trucks or shopping vintage, arts and crafts.

How to Fill a Bowl Beautifully
The Scoop: Bring a bowl from home, bring one or two special objects or just show up! Sandy Maccioli of Awesome Abode will instruct and then you participate in creating art in a bowl.

Paint & Wine at Grapes and Ground
The Scoop: Join a Paint and Wine event with artist Lynn A. Soles at Grapes & Ground presented by the Ava Gardner Museum! The featured art will be the seaside resort of Tossa De Mar location in Spain, where Ava Gardner filmed "Pandora and the Flying Dutchman". Members of the Ava Gardner Museum board and staff will be on hand to discuss the film.

Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo
The Scoop: Chow down on some local eats in downtown Raleigh! The rodeo features 50 Food Trucks from across the State of NC.
