2017 Downtown Smithfield Wine Walk

The Scoop: Harbor Shelter will host the seventh annual Downtown Smithfield Wine Walk, a wine tasting to raise money for Harbor and its programs, on Friday, November 17, 2017. The Wine Walk will take place from 5:00-9:00 p.m., when walkers will visit twenty-three participating businesses in the downtown district and sample a different wine at each location. Walkers will begin at Harbor Shelter’s Pizazz, located at 119 North Third Street in Historic Downtown Smithfield, NC. There, walkers will have their IDs checked and be given commemorative wine glasses and a wristband to wear, which will allow them to taste different wines at twenty-three participating businesses. Harbor is Johnston County's only nonprofit agency providing assistance to victims of domestic violence. With its team of highly credentialed and experienced staff and volunteers, Harbor provides advocacy services, resources, and programs to assist women and children in need.

Girl Tribe Pop Up
The Scoop: Girl Tribe Pop Up is a collection of 30+ local, women-owned businesses that pop up for one day to create the ultimate girls' day out! Shop from your favorite fashion boutiques, jewelry designers, calligraphers, artists, makers and up and coming brands! In addition to the shopping, our Girl Tribe Pop Up includes local brews & cocktails, a fun photo booth, discounts and delicious snacks, including Baozi food truck and Kind bars. There is also a VIP ticket!

73rd Annual Raleigh Christmas Parade
The Scoop: Raleigh’s Christmas parade is back this weekend! Head out early to get a good viewing spot or stay warm and cozy inside and watch the televised event!
When: Saturday, November 18th from 9:40 AM - 12:00 PM.

Santa Paws 5K & Fun Run
The Scoop: Join the SPCA for the largest certified, competitive, dog-friendly race in the Triangle — with a touch of holiday spirit. The Santa Paws 5K is for serious runners AND for recreational runners who just want to dress up their dogs and have a fun jog!
When: Sunday, November 19th from 8:00 - 11:00 AM.

Market Toy Collection
The Scoop: Help support local Clayton families this weekend by dropping off a new unwrapped toy at The Market at Three Little Birds, partnering with  With Love From Jesus. This is a wonderful opportunity to show love to those in need at Christmas time with a little extra love through gift giving. Enabling a parent to have something for their children on Christmas day is a special gift to give in itself.
