Free Espresso Friday

The Scoop: Get espresso and get going! Each week Jubala Village Coffee treats its customers to "Free Espresso Fridays."  Every Friday they buy 10 lbs of a guest espresso and serve shots until they're out.

When: Fridays from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

First Friday in Downtown Raleigh

The Deets: First Friday is a free self-guided tour of downtown's cutting edge cultural hot spots. Local art galleries, art studios, alternative art venues, and museums stay open late the first Friday of every month to welcome thousands of art-seeking enthusiasts downtown. Visit the galleries and listen to live music. Delight in a divine culinary experience and take advantage of the First Friday specials offered by participating restaurants. Look for the First Friday Flags to easily locate participating venues and most importantly, have fun!

When: Friday, January 5th beginning at 6pm.

Where: Various locations in downtown Raleigh.

The Morning Market

The Scoop: The Morning Times and The Raleigh Times know how to do First Fridays right! Head over to Hargett St. for a pop-up market that takes over the whole block. You'll find vendors, artisans, artists, performers, live music and local breweries pouring pints for the crowd. The Morning Times Market promises a little something for everyone and will keep you coming back for more each month!

When: Friday, February 2nd, 6:00 - 9:00 PM.

Find Your Zin Yoga Class

The Scoop: Come get your zin on and enjoy a complimentary pint after class! This is an open level class and welcome to all.

When: Sunday, January 7th at 11:00 AM.

Skate with the Canes

The Scoop:  This event the most interactive, all-access, behind-the-scenes, player-friendly events that the Carolina Hurricanes organization offers each year. It is a special Kids N Community Foundation fundraising event that allows fans and players to interact in an intimate environment by rotating through autographs, locker room photos and skating sessions in small groups of 200. All proceeds from Skate with the Canes will benefit the Carolina Hurricanes Kids N Community Foundation.

When: Sunday, January 7th, at 1:30 PM.

Where: PNC Arena 1400 Edwards Mill Road Raleigh, NC 27607

We only have first friday events from late spring through fall. I miss them in the winter months.  Maybe not this month since we are so unseasonably cold.  Sounds like a lot of great events in your community.
