5 Ways to Make Your Home Shine This Spring

1. Amp up your curb appeal!

Curb appeal may sound daunting, but there are several easy ways to make your home stand out on your block. While landscaping is an important part of curb appeal, it doesn’t necessarily mean you need to do a complete (and often expensive) overhaul. For instance, in lieu of several plants, add high plants in striking planters to add height and draw the eye in towards the front of your home. You can also add grandeur with a home number refresh or a fresh coat of door paint!

2. Break out the duster.

Spring brings a variety of dust and pollen (we’ve seen the latter quite a bit in North Carolina recently!) so make sure you break out your best dusters to freshen up each room in your home. Don’t forget the tops of fans and cabinets and any window blinds.

3. Clear out the clutter and the junk drawers.

No spring refresh is complete without a little removal of clutter in your home. Go through old piles, junk drawers, and storage areas to remove anything that no longer serves a purpose.

4. Deep clean any carpets.

Almost every season can create wear and staining on your carpets, so deep cleaning is a must for the spring season. Deep cleaning removes stains and any lingering allergens, so let your carpets shine with the warm season!

5. Give paint and hardware a refresh

Is there a room on your home that’s feeling dull? Try refreshing or changing the color on the walls to maximize the natural light that the room receives. A new coat of paint can brighten the space and make it pop! If your cabinet handles or door knobs look a little too worn down, try to polish or shine them, or, try a new style to bring a new feel to the space.

These are some wonderful suggestions for would be sellers April. My biggest push is to de-clutter, de-clutter, declutter. I'm also big on enhancing the curb appeal. Doesn't take much money to get the front yard refreshed.
